Role: Cybersecurity Engineer Intern

As a Cybersecurity Engineer Intern at LIMRA Solutions, you’ll partner with a team of security engineers to harden environments, improve detections, and respond to real threats.

What you’ll do

Build and tune SIEM/SOAR detections (Splunk, Sentinel, etc.).
Assist with incident triage, log analysis, and root-cause documentation.
Run vulnerability scans and help drive remediation with engineering teams.
Contribute to security automation (Python/PowerShell) and playbooks.
Support phishing simulations and security awareness initiatives.
Help maintain asset inventories, baselines, and control evidence.

What you’ll bring

Working toward a BS/MS in Cybersecurity, CS, IT, or related field.
Basics in networks, Windows/Linux, IAM, and cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP).
Familiarity with one scripting language (Python/PowerShell preferred).
Curiosity, ownership, and clear written communication.
Eligibility to work in the U.S.

Nice to have

Hands-on CyberArk / SailPoint experience.
Home lab or projects (e.g., SIEM rules, vuln mgmt, detections).
Git/GitHub familiarity.
